ASIAWIRED VENTURE ROADSHOW & SUMMIT 2002, BEIJING
March 15, 2002 in Beijing, China
|
AsiaWired Venture
Roadshow series are held quarterly in various locations throughout Asia.
The most recent ones, AsiaWired Venture Roadshow Summer 2001 and
AsiaWired Venture Roadshow Fall 2001, took place in Taipei, Beijing and
Shanghai, organized by AsiaWired Group together with Polaris Securities, Taiwan
Venture Capital Association, Zero2ipo and eConeo.
32 companies presented their business plans in the roadshows, with more
than 140 VCs participated in Taipei, nearly 100 VCs participated in Beijing and
over 150 VCs participated in Shanghai. As
results of the roadshows, most presenting companies are now in due diligence
process with interested venture capitalists, and numerous have successfully
established strategic partnership in Asia.
AsiaWired Venture Roadshow series are specially
designed to take emerging startups from Silicon Valley to two separate locations
in Asia back-to-back, allowing companies to quickly assess the Asian market and
streamlining the process for seeking Asian capital and partners.
With its well reception, AsiaWired Group will be duplicating the concept
with AsiaWired Venture Roadshow & Forum 2002 on March 15 in Beijing, China.
This time, we are enriching
our program even further and creating more networking opportunities for all by
adding a new session of Roundtable Discussions. Two topics will be discussed:
“Future Trend of Venture Capital and Opportunities of M/A and Technology
Licensing in China”, and “The
Trend of Biotechnology and its Partnership Opportunities Between China and
Taiwan.” AsiaWired Group will invite leading professionals from
different industries to participate.
According to a recent
research report, in 1999, Asian funding has already reached $5 billion, placing
Asian venture capitalists as the second largest investment group in the world. And
now, with China joining WTO, to capture
such explosive market potentials and abundant capitals, value-added capital and
partners are the two essential elements in the equation for success for startups
and established companies entering Asia. We
are certain Asiawired Venture Roadshow & Summit 2002 will again prove to be a valuable
link Asian capital and market for companies expanding to the region.
