Brief Bio of Emily Chen
Managing Director of CDIB (China Development Industrial Bank) Venture Management USA, Inc. Ms. Chen is a senior executive with extensive business experience in investing, financing, banking and marketing. Before joining CDIB, she had twelve years of experience in various positions and in different industries, including Globe Industries Corp., Oak Materials Taiwan Ltd. (Taiwan) and Safer (USA) Inc. Latter, she also gained excellent experience in the banking and finance industries while working at Citibank.
After Citibank, Ms. Chen was recruited by the Direct Investment Department at CDIB and participated in many projects, including investments in Acer, Ritek, TI-Acer, etc. With 10 years of investment experience with CDIB, including three in the U.S., Ms. Chen is well-versed in evaluating corporate prospects and the viability of projects, making company valuations, critiquing management team capabilities and structuring deals.
Ms. Chen holds a Masters degree in International Management Studies from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the National Taiwan University.
