Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park

Overview

  • Situated between municipal Hsinchu and Hsinchu County fifteen minutes by car or bus from the heart of the city.
  • 3rd largest supplier in the world for computer-related components.
  • 11 computer-related components named #1 supplier sources in the world

Talent

  • National Tsing Hua University and National Chiao Tung University, two prestigious schools with a long history, are located close to the HSIP.
  • About 6,800 students and 700 professors study and teach at National Tsing Hua University. On the other hand, National Chiao Tung University has over 8,500 students and 600 professors in the University.
  • These two universities not only provide an abundance of young and promising personnel, but also support the park industries in training. Inside the HSIP there are now 15 companies, which were facilitated originally by the academically group from these two universities..
  • The Park generated over 70,000 job opportunities.

Investment and Government Regulation

  • Number of Venture Capitals increased to 172 during the past year. The total capital injection of NT$ 21.5 billion into the Park set record high.
  • Accumulative investments into the Park surpassed NT$ 65.1 billion in the past few years.
